His podcast isn't half-bad, and he's not a terrible interviewer. But without Tina Fey to reel him in on television, I'm guessing we're gonna have the second coming of Keith Olbermann without the sports.
I liked his podcast, and then I didn't. He leads the interviewee a little too much and dominates the conversation.
Agreed, though when he has friends on*, I still tune in because it's still fairly entertaining. He's less...imperious? More human and natural, anyway.
* The Elaine Stritch one was difficult, though, since she was clearly not very well/not too sharp.
Now that you mention it, I've skipped the last three or four. The Stacy Keach one was interminable. He manages to make at least two ex-wife refs per interview, and, Alec, we all know which ex you're talking about.
I kind of found that one to be one of the more compelling because he seemed genuinely concerned about her during the diabetic test, and yet they both seemed wholly indifferent to their shared time on the set of 30 Rock. It was a weird juxtaposition.
Wait Mediaite actual did reporting?
I thought they were little more than a thinly veiled video clearinghouse that used algorithms to churn out vacuous commentary in order to meet the bare minimum of Fair Use standards.
"Joe Concha" is a real person? He actually got a scoop from someone? I don't believe it. I think Dan Abrams was just out to dinner with David Zinczenko in the West Village and overheard Alec Baldwin sitting at the next table blabbling on to his nubile wife. "Joe Concha" is simply a content generating script.
Joe Concha is too stupid to be an automated content generator.
Up against Maher, eh?
Yes, I know MSNBC is cable and HBO is premium cable. Maher's not always on, and then I might watch Baldwin. But probably not.
Amazing. Fox News is reportedly moving Hannity from 9pm and pushing Megan Kelly in there instead. Maybe this is some Hannity vs Baldwin showdown in the making? Think about it: tough guys from both sides of the aisle, both with big ass heads of hair...it's a ratings war chest!
It's spelled Megyn Kelly. I know because Google fixes it every time I look up pictures of her. Ha!
