Amanda Bynes: "I Was Diagnosed Bipolar and Manic Depressive...I'm Fine"

Amanda Bynes tweeted early this morning that she's been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and that she is taking her medication. Bynes has been tweeting and deleting various statements about her health since she was released from a psychiatric hold on Friday.

Amanda's mother and current conservator Lynn Bynes hasn't confirmed the diagnosis.

I was diagnosed bi - polar and manic depressive so I'm on medication and I'm seeing my psychologist and pyshchiatrist weekly so I'm fine :D

Amanda says she's not living with her parents and seems concerned with regaining her financial independence.

TMZ says Amanda's parents have been giving her $50 AmEx gift cards for spending money.

Amanda was hospitalized for two weeks on a psychiatric hold after exhibiting bizarre behavior in New York City and accusing her father of child sex abuse on Twitter. She later recanted.
