A Christmas mystery: Haverhill, Mass. police are reportedly searching for the person (or persons) responsible for stealing the baby Jesus from the nativity scene outside Sacred Hearts Church and replacing the figure with a "real pig's head."

Police tell WDHD that "the vandals struck the nativity scene" in the early morning hours of Christmas Day:

Police are investigating the incident, which took place on a busy, well lit street during the day. A news conference is planned for 10 a.m. Friday.

On Friday morning, Brenda Burns of Haverhill visited Sacred Hearts Church and put her on baby Jesus in the manger to replace the one that was stolen.

CNN reports police are asking for the public's help in tracking down who stole Christ.
