In what is perhaps the most exciting news to come out of Hillary Clinton’s campaign in months, fledging celebrity paramours Katy Perry (pop star) and Orlando Bloom (elf) were spotted together at a fundraiser for the candidate last night. I am not making this up:

According to E! News’ (apparently new) Pop & Politics vertical, Perry performed at the fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall, while Bloom and the Clintons looked on from the audience. Here’s the scoop:

While he stayed mostly out of the limelight, Perry’s new man was not far from the singer’s side. He was photographed on his way out of the venue as his girlfriend signed autographs and posed for pictures, dressed in a vibrant shirt that read, “Hillary Clinton is a badass.” It’s pretty clear which name Perry will be picking in the voting booth come November—well, if Hillary earns the Democratic nomination that is.

Big “if” from E! News!

Does Clinton approve of Perry’s new beau? And does she think Bloom’s support could give her campaign shot in the arm? We’ve reached out to the campaign to find out and will update if we hear back.
