A four-story building in Center City Philadelphia collapsed on Wednesday morning, possibly trapping people inside. News cameras at the scene showed at least one person being taken from the wreckage on a stretcher.

The building, at 22nd and Market Streets, was next door to a building slated for demolition. Rescue workers are at the scene. NBC Philadelphia is streaming footage live from the scene.

Update 11:40 a.m.: According to ABC Philadelphia, five people have been taken to hospitals, and as many as five more may still be trapped. The collapse is being treated as an industrial accident.

Update 12:06 p.m.: ABC 6 reports nine people have been rescued so far. Two are believed to still be trapped in rubble of Philly building collapse.

Update 12:36 p.m.: The Philly Fire Department has transported 12 people to the hospital, all are stable.
