Children Reportedly Burn to Death After Boko Haram Suicide Bombers Attack Nigerian Village, Killing 86
A horrific firebomb attack in Nigeria has reportedly left 86 dead, with survivors saying children were among those targeted by the extremist group Boko Haram.
According to the Associated Press, the attack occurred Saturday night in the village of Dalori, just 3 miles away from where the group originally started. Over four hours, attackers and suicide bombers shot and burned people, many of them refugees. Soldiers couldn’t contain the attacks:
The violence continued as three female suicide bombers blew up among people who managed to flee to neighboring Gamori village, killing many people, according to a soldier at the scene who insisted on anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to journalists.
Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for an increasing number of attacks in the past few years, and have killed some 20,000 people over the last six years, according to Al Jazeera.
