Cop Yanks Suicidal Man Off Metro Tracks at Last Possible Second
A Colombian police officer was in the right place at the exact moment a Medellin man decided to end his life by jumping in front of an oncoming Metro train.
Surveillance footage from the scene shows the cop grab the man and pull him off the tracks at the very last possible second.
An individual named Gustavo Chaparro has since come forward to identify himself as the officer involved in the extemporaneous rescue operation, and was promptly showered with gratitude for his bravery.
"Thanks to all those who want to show their appreciation, but it is my job to protect and serve the community," Chaparro responded. "And I will continue to do so!"
