Donald Trump Postpones VP Announcement in Wake of Attack in Nice
On Thursday night, Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he was rescheduling a press conference to reveal his vice presidential pick originally slated for Friday morning due to the recent attack in Nice, France.
Shortly after Trump tweeted the message, NPR reported that it had “confirmed” Indiana Governor Mike Pence to be his running mate, citing “a source with direct knowledge.”

Earlier in the day, The New York Times reported that the Trump campaign “has strongly signaled” to Republican leaders that Pence will be his pick, but warned that the candidate “may still backtrack.”
