A rich Texas man who paid $350,000 for the chance to kill one of the 4,000 endangered black rhinoceroses left on the planet says his life is now turning into the plot of The Most Dangerous Game.

Last week, tough guy Corey Knowlton bid $350,000 on a special hunting license, paradoxically sold as a way to save the endangered black rhino.

"I'm a hunter," Knowlton told WFAA. "I want to experience a black rhino. I want to be intimately involved with a black rhino. If I go over there and shoot it or not shoot it, it's beyond the point."

Although Knowlton bid anonymously, his name was posted on Facebook shortly after the auction. Then the death threats began.

"They're wanting to kill me," he said (this time about himself). "They're wanting to kill my children. They're wanting to skin us alive."

Knowlton claims he's had to hire round-the-clock private security, which surprisingly, was not built into the cost of the license. He also told WFAA that local law enforcement and the FBI have been looking into the threats.
