FedEx says it fired the employee caught on camera throwing delivery boxes into her truck with reckless abandon.

The viral footage, filmed on E. 44th St. in Manhattan this past Wednesday, clearly shows a uniformed FedEx employee and another unidentified man hurling piles of boxes into a FedEx truck and laughing about their behavior.

In a statement released to Gothamist yesterday, FedEx said the employee's behavior "falls far short of what is expected," and the "appropriate corrective action will be taken."

Earlier today, FedEx released its own video featuring another statement from Shannon A. Brown, SVP in charge of Human Resources, assuring customers that the driver in question "is no longer working for FedEx."
