During a discussion of Barack Obama’s college transcripts and Donald Trump’s abandoned birther campaign against the President, former Trump campaign manager and recent CNN hire Corey Lewandowski appeared to entertain the possibility that Obama was not an American citizen Tuesday night.

“The question was, ‘Did he get in as a U.S. citizen or was he brought into Harvard University as a citizen who wasn’t from this country?’” said Lewandowski. “I don’t know the answer.”

Lewandowski’s comments immediately drew objections from CNN panel members, who reacted with responses raging from “Oh my god!” to “No no no no no no.”

“So where’s he from, where’s he from, Corey?” asked political commentator and eye-roller Angela Rye.

“He’s from Hawaii,” Lewandowski conceded.
