Three fourth graders in Elba, N.Y. were investigated this week for plotting to kill their teacher, who they claimed was "mean." The teacher was fatally allergic to hand sanitizer, and the little kiddie plot was to taint several of the teacher's items with the stuff, causing her swift death, WKBW in Buffalo reports.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office let the kids off the hook after it was discovered that the three girls hadn't followed through on the plan.

Via WKBW:

Sheriff's deputies and other officials met with the children accused of the plot and their parents. At least one parent said the children knew the teacher could become very sick from contact with hand sanitizer, according to the incident report.

One of the mothers said after learning about the plan, she contacted the school. Another set of parents said they knew about it as well, but did not tell anyone.

Some of the parents knew but didn't tell anybody!!!!!!!!!

The school district is taking over the investigation, telling WKBW that "it is important to note that no one was injured or actually placed in harm's way." But it was close!!!
