NBA superstar and vigilante crimefighter LeBron James cleaned up the streets of Gotham played professional basketball in a black carbon-fiber mask Thursday night.

James made the decision to don the mask after seeing his parents violently murdered as a child breaking his nose during a dunk in last Thursday's game against Oklahoma City. He told reporters he doesn't like his new role as the city's protector facegear, but understands he has to figure out a way to make it work.

He certainly made it work Thursday, scoring 31 en route to a victory over the Knicks. "He played like Batman," said Miami forward Chris Bosh.

LeBatman will wear the mask for the next couple of weeks, or until the Joker is brought to justice.

Meanwhile, an un-masked LeBron played a little wastepaper basketball and did a corny '80s-style rap with Jimmy Fallon, proving that Space Jam 2 should definitely happen.
