Patti LaBelle's Woody Woodpecker is way better than Jessica Lange's Lana del Rey, that's for sure. Lange covering del Rey's "Gods and Monsters" was the ostensible highlight of last night's American Horror Story: Freak Show episode, if Twitter trending topics are an indication. While the action is picking up, last night's multiple instances of Halloween homage were delightful, and Kathy Bates' bearded lady is sapping more sympathy from me than virtually any character of this show's four seasons, I'm so sick of being serenaded with anachronism.
