Prosecutors said Thursday that, as part of the plea deal brokered late this summer, Jared Fogle has paid $100,000 to ten of his victims over the last several weeks and that the remaining four would receive their checks before his sentencing next month.

Fogle, who pled guilty in August to one count of traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography, will be sentenced to a minimum of five years in prison on November 19th, the Associated Press reports.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven DeBrota said that the money will be put towards Fogle’s victims’ mental health counseling and medical care, to help them “go on with their lives and put them where they should have been had none of this happened.”

In August, the AP reports, Fogle’s attorney, Jeremy Margolis, said in a statement that “Jared fully recognizes that such monetary contribution will not undo the harm he has caused.”
