Karl Rove Is Not Even an Interesting Troll
The Wall Street Journal op-ed page is known as America's premier forum for right wing lunacy. Fine. At least that can be defended as interesting. What cannot be defended is a major newspaper donating space for blowjobs of ex-presidents by their own former advisors.
Here is the jazzy teaser on the WSJ's op-ed page today:
Injuries Can't Keep These Warriors Down
By Karl Rove
Wounded veterans joined a former president for the annual W100K bike ride in the Texas countryside.
Karl Rove writing a treacly faux-patriotic paean to George W. Bush? I do not know about you but to me that spells J-O-U-R-N-A-L-I-S-M! We do not want to spoil the various journalistic twists and turns of this masterful work of journalism for you, so we will just give you its incredibly moving (journalistic) kicker:
The W100K riders have been through darkness. Yet for three days last week, they rode in the bright sunlight of late spring days, celebrating lives of service and comrades-in-arms with a former commander in chief who loves and cherishes them. It was an honor to be among them.
Former George W. Bush strategist Karl Rove reports that former president George W. Bush loves and cherishes all of the veterans that he got blown up purely by choice. We will continue to bring you updates on this breaking story as it develops.
I guess my message to the right-wing lunatics at the Wall Street Journal op-ed page is: even you can do better!
