Three were injured and one was killed in an early morning shooting today at Northern Arizona University, according to officials. The AP reports the suspected shooter, 18-year-old freshman Steven Jones, is in custody.

Northern Arizona University public relations director Cindy Brown says the shooting occurred at 1:20 a.m. PDT outside of the Mountain View Hall dormitory, which houses members of the University’s fraternities, but details beyond that are limited. It is unclear what caused the shooting and information about whether the victims were students is unavailable at the moment.

An emergency alert sent by the university this morning notified students about the shooting and asked residents of the Mountain View Hall dorm to stay indoors:

According to a statement released by the university, the campus is not currently on lockdown. A press conference about the shooting will be held at 6 a.m. PDT.

UPDATE 9:33 a.m.: Police have named the alleged gunman: 18-year-old Steven Jones. The university’s Delta Chi fraternity confirmed its members were involved in the attack.
