One Direction Fans Revolt Over Daily Show Joke About Terrorism
Has #TheDailyShowGoneTooFar? In a segment this week about terrorist groups in the Middle East, correspondent Jessica Williams joked about a new "super group" involving one member each from "ISIS, Al Nusra, Al Qaeda, Hamas, One Direction, and the Zetas drug cartel." LOL—not! say 1D's tween fans.
#DailyShowGoneTooFar, #ZaynSavesNotKills, and #ZaynDefenseSquad are now all seriously trending on Twitter, because it just so happens that one member of One Direction—prettyboy Zayn Malik—is Muslim. As 1D fans on Twitter see it, Williams was talking about him. Yes, that's right, The Daily Show made fun of a Muslim pop star for being a terrorist. Excuse me, The Daily Show, aren't you supposed to be the adults?
plot twist when the teenagers are more mature than the adults #thedailyshowgonetoofar

Furthermore, don't you know that some Muslims are actually nice people?
People assume every Muslim is a terrorist based on religion and skin color but some of them are the nicest ppl ever #TheDailyShowGoneTooFar

Were you aware, The Daily Show, that Zayn Malik is actually an angel sent from an all-inclusive heaven in the sky?
How can some people called Zayn as terrorist when he is an angel that came from heaven

Maybe think about that, The Daily Show. Write a five paragraph essay about what you learned and put it on the teens' desk by 3:30 p.m.
we are the ones that get call immature for loving someone that truly saved us but they as adults can say that. #thedailyshowgonetoofar
