Oregon Teen Held at Gunpoint After Fatally Shooting Hunting Partners
A hunting cabin in northeastern Oregon was the scene of a mysterious and gruesome crime earlier this week, when a 14-year-old boy shot two of his hunting partners to death before accidentally wounding himself.
Four people, three adults and the 14-year-old, were staying in a cabin in Oregon's Blue Mountains when, for reasons that aren't clear, the teenager shot two of the men, killing them both. The boy then fled the scene, only to accidentally wound himself in the leg.
When the teen returned to the cabin for help, the surviving man duct taped him to a chair and held him at gunpoint while the cabin's owner drove to a nearby town to call police.
Grant County Sheriff Glenn Palmer didn't identify the victims or list their relation to the boy, but said they were 43 and 64-years-old.
The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital and then flown to a hospital in Boise, Idaho for further treatment. Sheriff Palmer did not say if an arrest had been made, or if the shooting had been intentional.
