Piers Morgan Was Questioned By Police About Phone Hacking
Before he fled to America as a refugee sponsored by CNN, whinging British scold Piers Morgan was the editor of the British tabloid The Daily Mirror. His activities there are finally coming back to haunt him.
In 2011, Morgan gave a bunch of evasive answers to a UK commission investigating the tabloid phone hacking scandals that captivated the nation back then. Now, the BBC reports that Morgan was in fact questioned by the police late last year, meaning more shit could still be coming down the pike his way.
In a statement, Mr Morgan said: "In early November I was asked to attend an interview by officers from Operation Weeting when I was next in the UK.
"This was further to a full witness statement I had already freely provided. I attended that interview as requested on 6 December 2013."
Morgan's former employer told the media it has "nothing to say at all" about Piers Morgan, which is usually for the best.
