Police: Suspect Arrested in Shooting of 2 Cops in Ferguson
St. Louis County police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of two police officers outside the Ferguson Police Department earlier this week, The New York Times reports.
A news conference is scheduled for later in the day on Sunday. The officers who were shot are reportedly both recuperating at home.
Update, 3:00 p.m. – Prosecutor Bob McCulloch has identified the suspect charged with two counts of assault in the first degree as 20-year-old Jeffrey Williams.

The prosecutor also acknowledged a theory that the shooter may have been firing on someone other than the police.

Police stress that he MAY have been shooting at someone other than police. He is "local" but not from Ferguson.

In response to a question at the end of the presser, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar told reporters that Jeffrey Williams is African-American.
