The leaves have begun to quiver on their branches, a cold breeze has blown through the air. That’s right, the season of horribly offensive costumes is upon us.

The first episode in what will surely turn out to be an autumn riddled with tasteless getups is brought to us by Ashley Benson, best known for her role as “it-girl” Hanna Marin on the television series Pretty Little Liars. Benson posted an Instagram photo on Tuesday night asking for advice on her interpretation of “Cecil the lion,” the lion that was shot and killed by an American dentist in Zimbabwe last July.

“What do you guys think of this cecil the lion costume?” Benson playfully quipped, forgetting to include details about Cecil himself, who was shot with an arrow, skinned and beheaded.

Yandy, the company Benson tagged in the post, does in fact sell a Cecil the lion costume for $118.95.

Benson, sensing danger like a big cat sniffing the wind, quickly realized that referencing the corpse of a beloved wild animal wasn’t the best was to celebrate and edited the caption.

“Help!” is right!
