Diem Brown, a longtime star of MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge, has died from complications of cancer. She was 32.

Brown first appeared on the Challenge in 2006, less than a year after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She chronicled her treatment throughout the season, and eventually recovered. Brown would appear on five more seasons of the Challenge, where she met her boyfriend, Chris "CT" Tamburello, before being diagnosed with cancer again in June 2012.

She was declared cancer-free in February 2013, and appeared on another season of the MTV show later that year. In August, the disease resurfaced in her stomach and colon, and later spread to her liver and lymph nodes.

"I want people to know that the fight is worth it," Brown told People last month. "And that's something that's so important for me."
