Rich Lady Celebrates MLK, Jr. Day in Most Racist Way Imaginable
Pictured above is Dasha Zhukova, the 32-year-old wife of a Russian oil billionaire and BFF of Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife Wendi Deng, lounging on a “fetish chair” featuring a contorted dummy made to look like a half-naked black woman. A Russian fashion magazine posted the photo on Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but quickly deleted it from its website and Instagram.
A fixture of the international art scene, Zhukova tapped French Vogue editor Joan Juliet Buck—who wrote a now-deleted profile of Asma al-Assad for American Vogue—to help publish Zhukova’s boutique fashion magazine, Garage.
And, in anticipation of her daughter’s birth in 2013, Zhukova’s husband, Roman Abramovich, set her up in the largest yacht in the entire world (costing approximately $250 million), which Abramovich had docked on Manhattan’s west side. Abramovich’s net worth is reportedly upwards of $14 billion.
Today Zhukova claimed the photograph was “published completely out of context” and was in fact “a commentary on gender and racial politics.”
Never, ever leave rich fashion people unsupervised.
