Rosie O'Donnell's 17-Year-Old Daughter Has Been Missing for a Week
Rosie O’Donnell says her 17-year-old daughter, Chelsea, is missing and off her medication. She was last seen a week ago in the Rockland County area.
O’Donnell tweeted the news Tuesday, saying Chelsea—who left home with a backpack and her therapy dog on August 11—may be in the New York City area.
Rosie O’Donnell’s 17 year old daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell was reported missing. Nyack, New York police authorities have been looking for her in the Rockland County area since Sunday, August 16. She was last seen Tuesday, August 11. She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack. Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word ‘Breathe.’ She left home with her 6 month old therapy dog named Bear. The dog is a 9 lbs brown and black terrier. It’s not the first time O’Donnell and her daughter have made headlines in recent months: in March, Chelsea’s biological mother, Deanna Micoley, accused O’Donnell of stealing Chelsea while she was high on drugs.
She told the National Enquirer that Chelsea had recently reached out to her and “claimed O’Donnell was trying to come between them.”
The married Wisconsin mom of four also provided the Enquirer with some of the heated text message exchanges she claims to have had with the former “View” star.
In some, O’Donnell, 53, encourages her to talk to Chelsea directly because she doesn’t want to be in the middle. In others, she blasts Micoley’s assertion the adoption was a sham.
“Get any lawyers u want,” O’Donnell wrote in one text, according to the Enquirer. “It was all legal. Like it or not. Now stop.”
O’Donnell, who said through a spokesperson that she supports Chelsea’s decision to contact her birth mother, claims she supported Micoley for “months” until Micoley left town.
