Cops Swarm Lil Wayne's Miami Mansion After Swatting Hoax
A call to police claiming that a shooting had taken place at Lil Wayne's Miami Beach home was a hoax, and no such shooting took place, according to local law enforcement. A SWAT team responded to the rapper's home after the call this afternoon.
A source told Miami's WSVN that police responded to a call of shots fired at the home with four possible injuries from a person who claimed to be the shooter.
Miami Beach police wrote on Twitter that the call was a "swatting"—that is, a fraudulent call designed to bring a SWAT team to the home. After police cleared the home and did not find any victims, an officer told reporters, "We can say for sure that it was a hoax."
#UPDATE unfortunately this appears to be a "Swatting" call. No victims /no injuries /no subject at 94 LaGorce.

According to WSVN, police are now investigating the source of the call.
According to TMZ, Lil Wayne was not at the house at the time of the call. Young Money, Wayne's record label, tweeted that the rapper is "okay" and was not at home.
Wayne is okay. Wasn't home during alleged events.
