Jewelry Designer Cuts; Hedge Funder Buys

Suzanne Sheik, the jewelry designer and mother of singer Duncan Sheik, has dropped the price of her 7,000-square-foot townhouse at 132 East 62nd Street. The five-story building, which Sheik bought from the estate of late socialite Phyllis Cerf Wagner for $8.5 million in 2007 and first listed for $17.5 million last year, is now priced at $15.5 million. Clothing Entrepreneur Sells on Park

• Jason Rabin, the apparel mogul who sold his company less than two months ago for $401 million, has now unloaded his duplex at 850 Park Avenue, too. Ten months after listing the five-bedroom, 5,600-square-foot apartment for $9.9 million, Rabin and his wife Nicole have sold it to Martha Stewart Weddings editorial director Darcy Nussbaum and her husband, attorney Andrew Nussbaum (left) for $6.225 million. • John McColgan and Moya Doherty, the husband-and-wife team behind "Riverdance," have sold their duplex penthouse at 1080 Madison Avenue, albeit for substantially less than they were hoping for when they first listed it for $10.5 million in July 2008. The four-bedroom pad sold for $5.85 million, or $4.65 million less than its original asking price. [Curbed]

AutoZone Founder Buys at the Majestic

• J.R. "Pitt" Hyde III, the founder of the auto parts chain AutoZone, has paid $11.75 million for an eighth-floor, three-bedroom apartment at the Majestic on Central Park West. [Cityfile]
• Robert Meers, the former CEO of Reebok who has gone on to start the apparel company Lululemon Athletica and who runs Taryn Rose International, has purchased a 16th-floor condo at 15 Madison Square North with his wife Miriam Kelly for $3.8 million. [Cityfile]

• It looks like Abigail Disney has found a new apartment to replace the West End Avenue co-op she recently sold: The Disney heiress and her husband, Pierre Hauser, are paying $12.16 million for a 16th-floor apartment at 15 Madison Square North. [Cityfile]
• Writer/director John Ridley paid $6.65 million for a 2,237-square-foot condo at 15 Central Park West in July 2008, relisted it a few days later for $13 million, and then dropped the price to $9.995 million last December. Kravitz Pulls Pad Off the Market

• Lenny Kravitz has been trying to sell his penthouse at 30 Crosby Street for the past few years; most recently, he slashed the price of the loft from $18.75 million to $14.995 million. Is he now planning to give up entirely? Over the weekend, the listing for Kravitz's 6,000-square-foot pad (which used to be located here) was pulled down from the Corcoran website, although whether the rocker plans to try again with a new broker is anybody's guess. Richard Gere and wife Carey Lowell aren't just trying to unload their apartment at Palazzo Chupi. They're looking to sell their farmhouse in Water Mill, too. The 1.2 acre estate, which includes a guesthouse, art studio, and pool, is currently listed at $8.8 million. [NYM]
