Last night at BB King's on 42nd St., Albert Gore III—the 27 year-old son of our nation's most almost President—faced an opponent in the Corporate Boxing Challenge. We were live on the scene, to cover this historic violence.

Want to see a privileged white kid get his ass kicked? Al Gore Jr. ("Kid Blanco") is participating in a heavyweight Wall Street boxing match tomorrow, for indulging homoeroti—I mean, for charity. His opponent: Ken "The Carnivore" Cunningham.

The new issue of earnest (bordering-on-sanctimonious!) magazine Good has arrived! It's the first anniversary issue, so there's a bit of self-congratulatory back-thumping and tabulations of how much money the magazine and its readers have donated to charity. That part is nice. There's also a charticle, "Girl Power," about global politics that announces, "Half of us are female, but only 10 of our leaders are." Which is funny, because a look at the Good masthead doesn't reveal too many staffers of the female persuasion, either!

This morning on the subway I actually LOLed at the Post article about Al Gore's son's pot and pills arrest: "Being the former vice president's son did little to blunt the charges." Ha! But then, I always laugh at pot jokes because I used to be a huge pothead until, um, about two weeks ago. Anyway, the Post's other zingers included the headline "Gore son at 'high' speeds," "the hybrid car was green in more ways than one," and "Call it an inconvenient toke." They're not leaving us much to work with, are they? Still, I hope you'll give it a shot. Personally, I can't think of anything. Must be cause of all that pot I used to smoke.
