The City: Stop Being So Sketchy

Brian Moylan · 10/14/09 12:38PM

Due to an unfortunate TiVo glitch, we couldn't watch The City last night, but thankfully there are plenty of budding social reporters out there who can fill in for us. Here is one promising dispatch.

cityfile · 03/04/09 07:37PM

• Editors who turned up to Gareth Pugh's show in Paris were shown an 8-minute video instead of a runway show. The same one that appeared online. Surprise! [Fashionologie, Fashionista]
• Meet Ruth, Marc Jacobs's secret weapon on Bleecker Street. [Racked]
Kenneth Cole cut 10 percent of his workforce last week. [Reuters]
• PETA's new anti-fur campaign features strippers. Classy. [Gawker]
• Lou Doillon is opening a concept store in Paris later this year. [Fashionista]
• Rebecca Taylor is introducing a line of shoes and jewelry. [FWD]
• Badgley Mischka's new ad campaign was shot by Annie Leibovitz and features Eva Longoria, Brooke Shields, Lauren Hutton and Anjelica Huston. [SW]

Fashion Week: Badgley Mischka

Emily Gould · 02/09/07 02:30PM

Ah, Badgley Mischka, the luxe line beloved of red-carpet-going starlets. Not particularly beloved of us, but that's just because we hate people who have difficult-to-spell names. Seriously, the Alex Kuczynski/ Dave Zinczenko thing is 85% because of their respective vowel deficits. Anyway: Anna Wintour! Just look at her, all fur-enshrouded, biting her lip in anticipation. Gawker lensman Nikola Tamindzic took the snaps here, of course.
