Battered Robbery Suspects Evidently Picked the Wrong "Victims"
Cord Jefferson · 09/03/13 03:00PMA pair of teenagers who allegedly tried to pull off a robbery at gunpoint in Charlottesville, Virginia, last week picked the wrong two victims for their mugging. When police arrived at the scene of the attempted robbery last Tuesday night, they found Johnny Calderon Jr. and Gerald Allen bloodied and in the custody of the two unidentified men who they had immediately before been trying to rob. Judging from the condition of Calderon and Allen, their intended victims made it very clear that they were not the kind of people to willingly part with their valuables when faced with the threat of violence.

Seth Abramovitch · 04/12/11 11:45PMThe homeless of St. Petersburg, Fla. have become the unlikely stars of a series of fetish videos in which they were treated like human "punching bags" by scantily clad women. In exchange for the filmed maulings—some so severe they put the recipients in the hospital—they were given $50 by Jeffrey S. Williams, the 58-year-old website manager of shefights.net. Now two of the men are suing.

Ravi Somaiya · 04/16/10 09:36AMAnonymous v. Scientology Protest Turns Ugly
Alex Carnevale · 11/02/08 03:48PMWhen you protest Scientology, you do it at your own risk. That's what members of the group Anonymous found out last Sunday when they picketed Gold Base, the Church's headquarters in Gilman Hot Springs, Calfornia. The small, peaceful assembly sported signs before one member received a beating from a group of the Church's hired goons. Gold Base is the center of the Church's production arm, and also features a nine-hole golf course. Oh yes, there's also a massive brainwashing operation there called Rehabilitation Project Force. As first reported on Mark Ebner's Hollywood, Interrupted, five members of Anonymous picketed the building with signs, a Church guard screws with their vehicle down the road to get them to trespass onto the Church's property, while setting up a flare to get them to come back to the car. After they dog-tie the member of the group that returns to the truck, the guards strike down another protester. Amazingly, two members of Anonymous were arrested afterwards by the Riverside Sheriff's Department, as they report in their account of the situation. This is typical stuff for the Church, who doesn't just counterattack on YouTube. But of course, as the guy holding the camera says, Anonymous thinks they win if they can bring home footage like this.
Surfing Matt McConaughey Fans in Paparazzi Beat-Down
ian spiegelman · 06/22/08 03:43PMSome of the lovely paparazzi from TMZ and X17 were on the beach in Malibu Saturday, trying to get shots of a shirtless Matthew McConaughey, when a group of civic-minded surf dudes took a break from the tasty waves to kick some ass. "The 29-year-old photojournalist told sheriff's deputies that a large group of surfers near Paradise Cove in Malibu approached him and other paparazzi about 2 p.m. and demanded they stop taking pictures and filming. 'They formed a semicircle in front of his camera and they said he [McConaughey] didn't want him to film,' said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore. 'They got into an argument, and he indicated that he received injuries. . . . [They] took the video camera and threw it in the water.'" Awesome surfer quotes and video link after the jump.
