This clip of a man jamming on a keyboard and singing what sounds like "everybody knows shit, FUCK" has been making the rounds today: It's been dubbed "The Everybody Knows Shit Fuck Dance," and declared "one of the internet's greatest achievements" from a "street musician who only knows four words." Only some of that is true.

At the 41st Berlin Marathon on Sunday morning, Dennis Kimetto beat the world record for the fastest-run marathon, shaving off 26 seconds of the original 2:03:23 record. "The fans made me confident and I thought I could do it," he said.

A new proposal in Berlin is seeking donations for its so-called House of One, a multi-purpose house of worship for Christians, Jews, and Muslims. The building will hold a synagogue, a church, and a mosque all under the same roof.

An elderly Swiss couple who saw a picture of the "forest boy" who wandered out of the woods and into Berlin's City Hall claim to be his grandparents, and have submitted to a DNA test to prove it.

A mysterious "forest boy" presented himself at Berlin City Hall two weeks ago. The first words he spoke were English: "I'm alone in the world. I don't know who I am. Please help me." He is believed to be 17, and to have spent the last five years sleeping on the ground in a forest. His identity is a mystery.

Last month, performance artist IEPE and an anonymous crew stopped traffic in Berlin's Rosenthaler Platz intersection and dumped 2,000 gallons of water-based, environmentally friendly paint onto the pavement. Hallo! That's German for "I haven't checked my email in a week." Many a trend piece has been written about Americans' reluctance to take vacations. (The flip side of this, noted in the Sunday Times, is that they're going on vacation just totally buck naked.) Most are afraid of losing their jobs. Some are afraid of falling behind. Others have trouble letting go of what's happening back at the office. This does definitely happen, as evidenced by the actual angst I felt that people were covering Ryan Adams's blog without me. But it's OK. I dealt with my feelings by drinking many beers on the subway, totes legally. And it was good.

As it turns out, "What New York was in the 80s, Berlin is now," is a cliche, according to an interviewee.
