Thomas Ravenel's Southern Gothic

Gabrielle Bluestone · 04/20/16 11:35AM

The last time Thomas Ravenel ran for office, he’ll now admit to me, his message needed work. “I kept saying during the campaign, I’m good on policy, I’m good in business,” Ravenel said. “Not so great in my personal relationships, but hey, two out of three ain’t bad. But I think that I was wrong. You really have to have three out of three. You really have to have your personal life in order.”

Amy Sedaris Resurrected Jerri Blank for a Mad Men Skit with Jon Hamm

Rich Juzwiak · 05/15/14 07:40AM

On last night's episode of Watch What Happens Live, ringmaster Andy Cohen had his guests Jon Hamm and Amy Sedaris act out an iconic Don Draper/Peggy Olson confrontation from Season 4 of Mad Men. The twist was that Sedaris was made to perform the scene as her former drug addict/prostitute Strangers with Candy character, Jerri Blank. The result was all...mildewy. Unfortunately, though, the scene study did not end with Jerri Blank ugly-crying, as Peggy did on the original episode.

Here's Jennifer Tilly Acting Insane on Watch What Happens Live

Rich Juzwiak · 10/21/13 10:30AM

On last night's episode of Watch What Happens Live, actress Jennifer Tilly repeatedly propositioned Andy Cohen, imitated her one-time co-star Gina Gershon's turn in House of Versace, showed off her poker face (it involves non-quivering bosoms), and said everything in her squeaky Godzilla voice, with which she seems to consume all of the oxygen in the room in one gulp and burp it out simultaneously. In other words, Jennifer Tilly was Jennifer Tilly.

Jerry Seinfeld Reminisces About the Old Days on Watch What Happens Live

Matt Toder · 05/21/12 11:50PM

Andy Cohen is the kind of powerful television executive who gives himself a weekly talk show and then promotes that talk show to five days a week. Andy Cohen is also the kind of powerful television executive who brings his famous friends on his talk show. Tonight those friends were Jerry Seinfeld and Matthew Broderick. Here, Jerry reminisces about his first Tonight Show appearance, early Seinfeld press photos and other tidbits about the heyday of the show.

Camille Grammer Will Be Back on The Housewives After All

Caity Weaver · 05/01/12 07:45PM

St. Camille Donatacci of Jersey has heard your prayers, children, and will return to the Real Housewives a martyr, forced to tarnish her golden shoulders by rubbing them against those sullied by Maloofian greed.

Kathy Griffin's New Talk Show Is Surprisingly Delightful

Rich Juzwiak · 04/20/12 09:58AM

Last night, Bravo debuted Kathy Griffin's weekly talk show, Kathy, and it was not the disaster that such shows' first episodes often are. At one point, Griffin referred to her platform as "Kathy starring Kathy with me, Kathy," except that kind of egocentrism was mostly left to play out in her head. The format is conversational, with about half of the hour-long show taken up by a pop-culture/current-event chat with Griffin's three producer-talking heads (including Gawker friend Michelle Collins, who shone). Griffin isn't as showboaty or funny-hoarding as you might expect; she moderates well, riffs to enhance and gives praise when it's due (check out the props she gives Collins in the clip above). Kathy's like Real Time for pop-culture addicts. The skits were funny, another roundtable with her P.A.'s was also great and she had a segment with her mother, for those who care about that dynamic.

Last Night's SNL: Being Quirky with Zooey Deschanel and Skewering Andy Cohen

Matt Toder · 04/08/12 05:33PM

Saturday Night Live returned from a long break last night with an episode that was pretty lacking but still featured two decent sketches. The first was "Bein' Quirky with Zooey Deschanel," the second installment of this sketch, which also featured host Sofia Vergara's interesting take on a Fran Drescher impression.

How Mark Zuckerberg’s Sister Descended Into Reality Television (and How Tech Is on the Same Path)

Ryan Tate · 04/05/12 03:27PM

Randi Zuckerberg has been awarded a Bravo reality show, a show that will follow young people trying to become "Silicon Valley's next great success stories." The mere existence of the program shows how the myth of golden opportunity in the Valley is, once again, far surpassing reality. But beyond that, the show's a clear signal that ridiculous, highly public interpersonal drama will continue to swirl around the Zuckerberg clan for some time to come.

Watch the Craziest Moments from Andy Cohen's Night of a Thousand Bravo-lebrities

Matt Toder · 04/05/12 01:18AM

Bravo chief Andy Cohen's three ring circus of a talk show Watch What Happens Live can get pretty crazy but tonight it went to new heights. For some terrible reason, Cohen decided to fill the room with fifty odd "Bravo-lebrities" and things unraveled fairly quickly into a mess of dumb games and scattered shouting. The show had it all - technical glitches, cringe-worthy singing from two (two!) Real Housewives, those terrible focus group for their baby name people, and next gen Bravo star Julia Allison. Here are all the craziest moments from Andy Cohen's All Star Bash.

Saint Camille Leaves The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Louis Peitzman · 03/25/12 02:45PM

Camille Grammer, the villain-turned-goddess of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will not be returning to the Bravo series next season. There is some speculation that Bravo decided to get rid of her, but given what she told US Weekly, it sounds like they just didn't want to pay what she was asking.
