This week he roped in Britney Spears to punk three bodyguards who think they are auditioning for her Piece of Me Vegas residency.

Last night, E! ran a two-hour documentary detailing the preparation for Britney Spears' upcoming Las Vegas residency and Britney Jean album. The entirety of I Am Britney Jean ran with its picture slightly elongated, which is weird (Britney's not even going through an overweight period) and at odds with the entire concept of documentary filmmaking. But whatever, I guess. This is E!, a place where the hardest news you're going to get is delivered by Giuliana Rancic. We cannot expect much of anything. "She wanted to make it very personal," said Britney Spears' manager Larry Randolph of the diva's eighth studio album, Britney Jean. Randolph said that back in September, right around the announcement of Spears' two-year residency in Vegas. Last week, the album finally arrived in stores and we are now able to hear for ourselves these confessional songs that are "all custom made for her, based on what's going on with her life and in her head."
Yesterday, sulking fame heir Willow Smith performed her song "Summer Fling" on the first episode of the new Queen Latifah Show. If you saw the official video for this song that can't decide if it wants to be a ballad or an uptempo (not that it has to decide anything since it is millennial), you probably noticed that Smith breaks into a British accent for no good reason during the song's few spoken lines. She sounds extremely stupid, which I guess makes sense since she is 12. She did the same thing during her performance, but the accent was more pronounced and the lines were different. In the interview that followed the performance, Smith did not speak in a British accent, which also makes sense, since she isn't British.
Poor Courtney Friel. Early this morning, the KTLA anchor was thrown in a Nevada desert to babble for an hour during the Planet Hollywood/BritneySpears.com livestream announcing Britney Spears' upcoming Vegas residency. Often, she had no idea what was going on — she wondered aloud half a dozen times if she would ever get to talk to Britney (spoiler alert: she didn't). During the technically plagued livestream, Friel regularly had no idea what to talk about, so she discussed the imminent sunrise a few times, pointed out the "gadgets" being used to film her, showed off cue cards, and at one point squealed, "Oh my gosh, look! There is a drone!" That last outburst is my favorite thing in the highlight reel we put together of Friel's bumbling antics above.

There's some sort of lawsuit going on between Britney Spears and her ex-manager, Sam Lufti. Who can even know what it's about, but Lufti sure is throwing some crazy shit out there. First, he testified that Britney was probably smoking crystal meth. Then he claimed she shaved her head to avoid a drug test. Now he's saying Britney's father, Jamie Spears, once chased him around a kitchen, yelling and spitting, and later punched him in the stomach.
