Marty Richards (Still) Wants Out at River House

• Theater and movie producer Marty Richards is still trying to unload his River House apartment. It's been 10 years now that the 14-room maisonette has been on and off the market—with prices ranging from $11.5 million (in 2003) to $29 million (in 2006)—but Richards is giving it another go. The Oscar-winning producer has given the listing to broker Kathy Sloane for a third time, and it's currently listed for $13.5 million. [NYO]
• Brian Brille, Bank of America's former head of investment banking who was named president of the bank's Asia-Pacific region three weeks ago, has put his 5,473-square-foot apartment at Trump Park Avenue on the market. For Sale: Dominick Dunne's Home in Connecticut

Dominick Dunne—chronicler of crime and society, best-selling author, Vanity Fair contributor, and cable television host—died in August after a long battle with cancer. His weekend house in Connecticut is now up for sale. The three-bedroom home in Lyme, which was once featured in Architecural Digest (above) and which, according to the broker, is "immediately recognizable from Mr. Dunne's television shows and documentaries," is listed for $2.1 million. Neil Simon Buys in Midtown, Roland Betts Lists in CT

• Playwright Neil Simon and his wife Elaine have picked up another apartment at the Ritz Tower on Park Avenue. The couple paid $1.225 million for the two-bedroom on the building's 14th floor. It's the fourth apartment that Simon has purchased in the building, where he's been a resident since the 1970s. [NYO]
• Risa Meyer, the daughter of late socialite Kitty Meyer, has dropped the price of her 3,000-square-foot condo at Trump Parc East. The three-bedroom apartment, which she put on the market for $14.8 million in March, is now listed for $11.6 million. [Cityfile, Stribling]

Luke and Julie Janklow have lowered the price of their West 12th Street townhouse for the second time since listing it for $24.975 million in January. The 25-foot-wide manse, which the Janklows purchased from Andre Balazs and ex-wife Katie Ford for $4.5 million in 2004, is now listed with broker Paula del Nunzio for $17.95 million. [Cityfile, BHS]
• Shire Realty CEO Rena Shulsky has put her penthouse at 812 Fifth Avenue on the market. The three-bedroom co-op, which Shulsky purchased two years ago for $9.23 million, is currently listed for $11.75 million. [Cityfile, PDE]

• Designer Domenico Dolce has closed on two penthouse units at the Annabelle Selldorf-designed "Sky Garage" building. Nic Cage Finds a Buyer, Rockets Owner Is a Flipper

• A month after he received two offers on his Olympic Tower pad, Nic Cage has gone into contract to sell the 3,550-square-feet apartment. The 48th-floor condo, which Cage bought in 2004-5 for $5.5 million, had been most recently listed for $9.75 million. [WSJ, BHS]
• Well, that was fast. Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander has put his penthouse at the Superior Ink building back on the market less than one week after buying it for $25 million. The 6,321-square-foot apartment is now listed with broker Dolly Lenz for a whopping $39.5 million. [Curbed, PDE]
• Artist Bruce Robbins has dropped the price of his three-bedroom loft at 43 Clarkson Street for the second time since first listing it for $4.895 million back in 2008. Penthouse at 15 CPW Sells For $37 Million

• Investor Amit Ben-Haim has finally unloaded his four-bedroom penthouse at 15 CPW, albeit for significantly less than the $80 million he was looking for last year. The London-based exec just sold the condo for $37 million to two unidentified corporations listed in city property records as Novgorod and Novgorod Two. [NYO]
• Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander has reportedly closed on the purchase of a penthouse at the Superior Ink building on West 12th Street. (The 6,321-square-foot pad had been most recently listed for $25 million.) Meanwhile, Alexander is still trying to unload his East Hampton estate, which is currently on the market for $20.5 million. Alec Baldwin appears to have taken his apartment at the El Dorado off the market just a month after listing it. The three-bedroom co-op, along with a smaller one-bedroom unit a few floors below, had been up for sale for a combined $8.9 million. [NYM]
• Daniele Bodini, a real estate mogul and the Republic of San Marino's permanent representative to the United Nations, has paid $10.9 million for a 3,500-square-foot apartment at 88 Central Park West. Update: On October 5, 2009, five days after publishing an item stating that Daniele Bodini had purchased an apartment at 88 Central Park West, the New York Post updated the story on its web site, deleting any reference to Bodini and stating instead that Italian financier Paolo Pellegrini had purchased the apartment. You can read the original, archived version here. The Post did not correct the story or in any way call attention to the fact that it had substantially changed it. On March 13, 2013—four years after this item was originally published on CityFile, and three years after Gawker Media purchased CityFile—an attorney representing Bodini alerted Gawker Media to the fact that the Post had changed the story and asked us to remove the mention of Bodini. Designer Tory Burch received approval last month to tear down her $22.5 million home in Southampton so she could replace it with something more to her liking. But is she also involved in the purchase of the $45 million estate owned by the late Howard Gittis? RealLI seems to think so, although it admits the "details are sketchy," and the Post reported yesterday that the buyer was "unidentified, recession-proof financier." Then again, Burch's fashion business seems to be enduring the recession just fine and it's always possible she decided to start up a hedge fund on the side, so maybe they're all right. Vavilov Gets Out, Price Drop at 834 Fifth

• Andrei Vavilov has officially exited the Plaza. The Russian financier, who sued the Plaza last year to get out of buying a $53.5 million penthouse spread—and ended up paying $11 million for a smaller apartment as part of a legal settlement—has taken a loss on the sale. Vavilov sold the apartment to an heir to the Goya Foods fortune for $8.4 million. [NYO]
• Investor Paul Cejas has dropped the price of his apartment at 834 Fifth Avenue, five months after he listed it for $18.5 million. The fifth-floor co-op is now on the market for $16.5 million. [Cityfile, BHS]
• Leona Helmsley's former Greenwich mansion has gotten another price chop. The 40-acre estate known as Dunnellen Hall is now $60 million, which is a whole lot less than its original listing price of $125 million. [Luxist, DO&A]

• Kelly Klein, Calvin Klein's second ex-wife and a photographer, horse enthusiast, and social fixture, has paid $2.091 million for a two-bedroom co-op at 2 West 67th Street, the building that she's resided in for years. [Cityfile]
• The Southampton mansion once owned by Howard Gittis, the right-hand man to Ron Perelman who passed away in late 2007, has reportedly gone into contract for "about $45 million." • The townhouse at 11 East 82nd Street that was purchased by Ron Perelman as a home for one of his executives back in 1996 and was later acquired by private investor Keith Gollust, has gone into contract after more than a year and a half on the market. • Real estate developer Andrew Heiberger has cut even more off the price of his townhouse at 161 East 63rd Street. Heiberger bought the six-story manse in 2004 for $8.15 million and put it up for sale for $16.85 million in February 2009. He dropped the price to $14.85 million in June.
