Fighters suspected of being members of Boko Haram kidnapped around 80 people Sunday in an attack on villages across the border from Nigeria in Cameroon, Reuters reports. Many of those taken were children.

Boko Haram, the extremist group responsible for kidnapping over 200 Nigerian schoolgirls in April (who still have not been returned), has now kidnapped the wife of the vice prime minister of Cameroon, officials say, in a wave of militant extremism across Nigeria and Cameroon.

Two men sentenced to five years in prison for "looking gay" were ordered released by a court of appeals in Cameroon after serving over a year behind bars.
