Central American Migrants Deported by U.S. Sent to Their Deaths
Brendan O'Connor · 12/24/15 05:15PMSince January 2014, as many as 83 undocumented immigrants, having fled violence in their homes countries (only to be deported by the United States), have been murdered upon their return to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. A Guardian investigation identified three separate Honduran men killed in their hometowns.

The U.S. government is increasings its efforts to help Central American farmers fight a harmful coffee fungus called "coffee rust,"which has caused more than $1 billion in damage across the Latin American region. As many as 500,000 people could lose their jobs due to the fungus and, much less importantly, your morning coffee could become more expensive!
