Manson Girl Patricia Krenwinkel Gives Prison Interview

Rich Juzwiak · 08/05/14 10:28AM

Patricia Krenwinkel, aka "Katie," played a key part in the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders spearheaded by Charles Manson in 1969. She stabbed Abigail Folger so many times, police thought the coffee heiress' originally white nightgown was bought red when they found her body. She also stabbed Rosemary LaBianca, and wrote "DEATH TO PIGS" on a wall on the LaBiancas' house and "HeaLter SkeLTter" on the LaBiancas' refrigerator. During her murder trial, she doodled Satanic images and, along with her fellow Manson devotees, added to the spectacle by shaving her head and carving an X into her forehead.

But apparently that's just something endearing the face of evil does.

The California department of Corrections has released an updated mugshot in advance of his 12th parole hearing next week. He probably won't attend (hasn't gone to one since 1997) and he certainly won't get parole.

Cell phones are a hot commodity in America's prisons these days. Even Charles Manson was caught with one under his mattress in California's Corcoran State Prison. He's been texting people and even sang a song on one friend's voicemail. Listen!

We're sorry to say, it's happening. Cult leader, killer, all that. Also today: a movie studio is more powerful than a country, the new Batman movie is just recycling the old title, and Darren Aronofsky loves robots.

Here is Barack Obama and a few of his friends getting together under the Gateway Arch in St. Louis yesterday. "All I can say is wow," said Obama as he took the stage. Meanwhile, let's take a gander at what was going on with the 400 to 500 people who showed up to watch Sarah Palin boost for Senator Norm Coleman in Duluth, MN, the other day.
