KFC announced this week it will make a never-before-seen autobiography and cookbook written by Colonel Sanders available for download on its Facebook page starting June 4th. Interestingly, as Smithsonian Magazine’s Food & Think blog noted last month, there was pretty much nothing Colonel Sanders hated more than Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The bigwigs at KFC recently discovered a long-lost manuscript by Colonel Sanders, the highest-ranking military man in the fast food universe. It's his life story stitched together with his favorite recipes for things like pies, casseroles, sauces, and just about everything else. And it's going to be available for free on the internet!

We love the FBI's new document-sharing website, "The Vault"! Without it, we might never know that a corrupt cop may have killed the Notorious B.I.G. Or that a mysterious "general" warned KFC's Colonel Sanders of a murder plot!

Today is Colonel Sanders' 120th birthday and he celebrated by making an appearance in the Early Show audience. He later stopped by to check out the Double Down sandwich and promptly went back to being dead.

Earlier this week, many of you were angry to learn that a Double Down sandwich is healthier for you than a salad. Now the philanthropic Colonel Sanders is going to wipe out breast cancer, by selling you fried chicken!

We're a little gun-shy of "visible from space" advertising hijinx after the Maxim cover prank, but hey — anything for Colonel Sanders. The decades-dead KFC spokesman takes another dignity hit with a tweak to his look — no longer is he wearing his white plantation jacket, but instead dons an apron. Excuse, but the Colonel doesn't make the chicken, he eats the chicken. He's a goddamned officer! Anyway, to commemorate the change, corporate parent Yum! Brands today unveiled a Sanders visible from space, if you're a high-resolution spy satellite. The 87,000-square-foot billboard rests in the Nevada desert, inviting alien munchie runs from throughout the quadrant.
