What do people enjoy about Lena Dunham and her television program Girls? Is it Dunham's wry sensibility? Is it the way it offers another of popular culture's periodic windows on Contemporary Youth, under certain conditions of class and geography?

No one cares more about poor Americans than the Wal-Mart corporation does. That's why Wal-Mart is speaking up to say: The government must stop forcing Americans to waste money on health care, when that money could be spent buying crap at Wal-Mart.

Peter Beinart, in the Daily Beast, denounces the college "totalitarians" at Brown who sent riot cops to tackle New York police commissioner Ray Kelly, zip-cuff him, and lock him up for days to prevent him from speaking. Oh, wait, no, the kids just yelled at him.

Oh that John Edwards, that guy, always combing his hair and having babies out of wedlock while his wife is dying of cancer, that jerk. What is his latest outrageous action, that he did, so that we can all get mad at him, once again, the pretty boy? Let's see, here it is, right in the foldy newspaper with all the pictures:
