Thatz Not Okay: Should You Blow-Dry Your Pubes at the Gym?

Caity Weaver · 07/24/14 12:00PM

I was in the locker room at my gym today and I saw a woman blow-drying her pubic hair with the communal hair dryers. She was trying to be surreptitious about it, but I totally saw her and I was totally grossed out. In the end I didn't say anything to her, but I'm wondering if I should have. Blow-drying your pubes with a communal hair dryer: Is that okay?

Here's David Byrne Covering "Just a Friend"

Today's Song: Alunageorge "Thinkin Bout You" (Frank Ocean Cover)

Rich Juzwiak · 01/07/13 03:45PM

Another day, another reason to fall in love with the most exciting duo in R&B, the UK's Alunageorge. Today they played the BBC 1Xtra Live Lounge, where they unveiled the new track "Body Music" and this gem: an upbeat cover of Frank Ocean's glorious "Thinkin Bout You." I had been thinking that Aluna Francis' voice had been manipulated on the group's recordings, but nope, it turns out that she actually just sounds sped up by 15 percent naturally. Unreal.

Finally, Barack Obama Covers 'Call Me Maybe'

Louis Peitzman · 06/04/12 09:08PM

OK, so it's not actually the President singing Carly Rae Jepsen's oh-God-why-can't-I-stop-listening-to-this hit, but it's definitely the next best thing.

Lauri Apple · 11/26/11 05:34PM

For its December 5 issue, Time Magazine is running a cover story in the U.S. titled "Why Anxiety Is Good for You." They thought you should know that your frazzled, overworked or underemployed, recession-tempered emotional state will eventually produce personal benefits. You just have to be patient.

The Most Controversial Magazine Covers Ever

Remy Stern · 08/13/11 02:17PM

We've had our fair share of crazy magazine covers lately. This week, it was Michele Bachmann's crazy eyes on the cover of Newsweek. A few weeks ago, it was the re-imagined and photoshopped life of Princess Diana (coincidentally, also on the cover of Newsweek).

What's Wrong With These Covers?

Max Read · 06/25/11 02:53PM

Here are the covers of New York's three biggest dailies. Notice anything? That's right: Only the News Corp-owned Post had the guts to cover the shocking story of a "hero cop" saving a "suicidal gal." What do the Times and the Daily News lead with? Some obscure bit of legalism passed by the bums in Albany. [Yawns] Looks like we all know which paper covers the real New York!
