Typically, Elmos don’t come to Times Square to make friends. They do it to make money. A bill passed by the New York City counsel on Thursday could hurt Times Square performers’ chances of doing either. That includes some 300 topless women, the ticket vendors, and the costumed characters.

On Saturday afternoon, a crazed woman attacked one of Times Square’s topless women, or desnudas, punching her and calling her a “nasty whore,” the New York Post reports. Both women were arrested.

“I look up and see Miley Cyrus on a video screen, marching in a raunchy, high-cut leotard. I figure if she can be half-naked in Times Square, then I can, too.” A New York Post reporter goes undercover, without cover, and makes the cover.
