As next week’s Republican National Convention approaches, officials in Cleveland continue to field questions about what firearms attendees can openly carry (only real ones) and where they can carry them (only outside the convention hall), but, so far, the liberal media has failed to grill the powers that be about a much purer symbol American liberty: the humble e-cigarette.
As e-cigarettes enjoy their rise in the market, issues of questionable legality have been brought to the forefront. It was announced today that sweets companies like Tootsie Roll have sent cease and desist letters to manufacturers of the liquid nicotine that goes into e-cigs, as they were naming their products after trademarked sweets.
A research study indicates that e-cigarettes can help smokers quit or at least smoke fewer cigarettes overall. The eternally uncool, "world-changing" electronic wands are about as helpful as nicotine patches. E-cigarettes are cigarette-shaped wands that give the user a nicotine mist. Here's a demonstration.
As a connoisseur of cultural detritus, you've probably seen this ad in which purported actor "Stephen Dorff," looking weary from days of dogged stubble-trimming, juts his chin repeatedly in your direction while explaining why he chooses to smoke Blu™ brand e-cigarettes, besides the fact that he is their paid spokesman. "Negative! One! I'm tired of being a walking ashtray," says "Stephen Dorff," no doubt bathed in Tom Ford cologne at that very moment.
Remember "E-cigarettes," the electronic cigarettes of the future that we're all smoking now, thanks to the marketing genius of some rich guy? Sure, you remember. You're smoking one right now. As you know, nobody better mess with our e-cigarettes? Or else we will throw peanuts at you, or whatever else may be handy at the time in question!
