Last weekend, 60 Minutes cast serious doubts on portions of Three Cups of Tea, Greg Mortenson's uplifting memoir of walking around Afghanistan and Pakistan and building schools. Mortenson has found a friendlier news outlet to which to proclaim his innocence.

Washington Post sports columnist Mike Wise pulled a clever stunt yesterday: he put up some fake news on Twitter, to "prove that 'anybody will print anything.'" Actually, he proved it's dumb to assume Mike Wise is a smart, trustworthy journalist.

You should feel awful for badmouthing Governor Jan Brewer, because she faces tough immigration issues that you can't understand. And when people call her Hitler's daughter it hurts, because her dad died fighting the dang Nazis. In California in 1955.
