Bloomberg book party

Gawker · 02/28/03 10:04AM

Keith Kelly reports that Bloomberg LP spokeswoman Chris Taylor cut short a performance by a dance act Full Frontal PR authors Richard Laermer and Michael Prichinello hired for their book release party. In the "sexy and flirtateous routine," two dancers "basically undressed one another to the point where both were standing in skin-tight leotards." It was supposed to be a metaphor for the interaction between PR people and journalists. (I think it would be more accurate if money changed hands and/or at least one party felt vaguely dirty afterwards.)

What is PR?

Tonight is the party for Richard Laermer's book, Full Frontal PR. The centerpiece: a modern dance troupe interpreting the theme, what is PR? The unintelligible in pursuit of the undefinable. I'm imagining performers with clipboards, rictus smiles, and an SUV driven into the crowd as the climax.
