Apple will sell iPhones in Singapore, India and Australia through Singapore Telecommunications, Bharti Airtel, Globe Telecom, and SingTel subsidiary Optus, respectively. With the Optus deal, Apple will abandon its prior strategy to sign only exclusive deals with service providers; Vodafone, which operates a rival carrier in Australia, also agreed to a deal with Apple last week.
