Mischa Barton Implores You To Party On Past The Dead-Eyed Pain

Seth Abramovitch · 07/31/08 12:25PM

We'd like, if we may, to squeeze one more magazine cover into our When Glossies Attack gallery of unjustly uglified celebrity covergirls—inspired, of course, by a shot of Gossip Girl's Blake Lively taken, apparently, moments after a freak steamroller accident. The Fug Girls point us to this Marie Claire cover, featuring none other than fashion-awkward DUI-haver, Mischa Barton. Apparently Maximilia "Ava" Cordero, formerly Maximillian, who has claimed that maybe-millionaire money-manager Jeffrey Epstein had sex with her when she was (by New York law) underage but after she became a woman, which is very tricky, has had her lawyer-lover amend her complaint! It's pretty out there: "Epstein suddenly went into the bathroom and came out several minutes later wearing red lipstick and wearing a matted red wig. He said to plaintiff 'Call me Janice'."

'Good' Magazine Party Filled With A Lot of Okay

On Saturday, Good magazine celebrated its first anniversary by renting out the entire National Museum of the American Indian. They put out a call to the masses and thousands of people came, mostly from Long Island. But! This was only a third of their celebration. Good, which has $200 million dollars behind it thanks to owner Ben Goldhirsh's father's foundation, also rented out the Hirshorn Museum in DC and the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. NIkola Tamindzic captured the locals.
