Back in July, Mariah Carey made an insane two-hour live appearance on the Home Shopping Network, which I distilled down to the most entertaining four minutes. So when I found out that Carey would kick off another round of HSN hawking early this morning, I couldn't help but tune in (and not just because she challenged Gawker to do so).

Mariah Carey hasn't been seen much since giving birth to twins in April, so people were especially curious on Sunday night ahead of her appearance on HSN to hawk everything from her fragrances to her jewelry. And by God, she delivered.

Yesterday, a very pregnant Mariah Carey graced HSN—several times!—to hawk everything from perfume (which she hates), to shoes, to a Ring Pop necklace. Carey also repeated herself ad nauseam, and—as this compilation from Rich Juzwiak shows—it was awesome.

Gosh darn it, she really just isn't going anywhere. Also today: Some really great reality show ideas sound really great, including one with Heidi Klum "interacting" with your children. Plus news of the economy!

You know Scoop, the Manhattan boutique chain for people who have a lot of money, but not a lot of ability to think about how to put their own outfits together? Several items, including bangle braclets, cowboy hats, and a flowy scarf, are already sold out! Says a commenter on HSN's website about that last item, "Please bring these back in the brown. I NEED one to match my dress." Settle down, lady! There are plenty more $125 crystal-studded flip flops and Poupette Printed Silk Ponchos With Rope Belts where these came from. And that's a good thing! Anything that keeps the demographic of "ladies who coming in to New York to shop on the weekends because they consider themselves just a LITTLE more classy than their Juicy-tracksuited neighbors ... but not much" at home on their Westchester couches is fine by us.
