Scientists finally took some pictures of "Hanny's Voorwerp," the "bizarre," galaxy-sized space blob discovered by a Dutch school teacher in 2007, and it turns out it's "giving birth" to "very lonely newborn stars." Better than "eating planets," I suppose.

Science just got some street cred, snitches. Last night on Late Night, rapper Milky J expressed his love for the Hubble Space Telescope by traveling to NASA to defend its honor against the newer James Webb Telescope.

Astronomers using images taken from the Very Large Telescope (actual name) in Chile have found the biggest stars ever, with one, called R136a1, said to be 265 bigger than the Sun.

The Hubble telescope is 20 years-old today. It's produced many beautiful images. Here's a new one: A "three-light-year-tall pillar of gas and dust that is being eaten away by the brilliant light from nearby stars." (click to enlarge) [NASA]
