Congressional IP addresses just got blocked from Wikipedia for the third time in two months, all because somebody working in our government couldn't stop editing Laverne Cox's page on their work computer.

Orange Is the New Black star and groundbreaking TIME covergirl Laverne Cox appeared on The Wendy Williams Show today and endured a particularly dumb line of questioning about being transgender from Williams. Williams' several questions about Cox's gender identity included:

Last weekend, the Chicago Sun-Times ran an editorial written by the National Review's Kevin D. Williamson titled "Laverne Cox is Not a Woman," in which he argues that Time's trans cover subject will forever be a man even if she says she's, in fact, a woman. Today, the story reached its inevitable conclusion: the Sun-Times has pulled the story and apologized.

Transgender actress and activist Laverne Cox, who was notoriously left off this year's Time 100 list, is featured on the cover of the June 9 issue. "This is for my trans siblings out there," she said, "and for anyone who has ever been told that who you know yourself to be at your core is not legitimate."

It's hard to say which is rarer: meaty, star-making roles for trans actors or careers that cross over from reality TV to acting. Laverne Cox has both. She competed on VH1's I Want to Work for Diddy, developed/starred in that network's makeover show TRANSform Me, and now she steals scenes as Sophia on Netflix's phenomenal women's prison comedy-drama Orange is the New Black.
