Oh Merton, you were such a lovable guy! Singing your songs on Chatroulette and wooing the collective internet in that hoody and those glasses. You had a mystique! And then you had to go and open your mouth. Sigh.

So there was speculation that piano Chatroulette improv guy Merton was actually Ben Folds. Well he definitely wasn't, because Ben Folds did it himself at a recent concert in North Carolina dressed up as Merton—and it was fantastic.

Because people are boring, Chatroulette has lost its luster. The only way it's even remotely entertaining now is when someone can offer something besides their exposed junk. This piano player (who takes requests!) is that someone. Get ready to smile.
